This Tuesday is the release date for the new full length record from friend and Walrus Ghost's acting guitar player Justin Hopkins' Rarebit moniker on La-based label Non Projects. The album, 'Daizo', is some of the most creative and interesting music I've heard in a long time. Justin's overall musicianship and meticulous dedication to detail enable 'Daizo' as an album with a musically complex narrative that truly challenges the listener and encapsulates a pure essence of innovation in instrumental music ( which is something all too rare these days). Justin is a personal inspiration to me as a musician and all-around person, and one of the reasons why I'm constantly striving to make future Walrus Ghost releases be what I hope to be some of the best music I can put out. Here is a live set of Walrus Ghost @ Coco 66 in Brooklyn from last week, filmed by Rebecca Adorno. Thanks to everyone who came out for the two shows I played for Northside Festival, thank you to Rebecca, and thank you to Gabo and Eddie from Supercrush Studios. More Walrus Ghost shows will be coming up in July and August in the Tri-state area. There may also be some Los Angeles shows for late-August, early September.

Walrus Ghost will be performing this week at Coco 66 on Thursday 6/16 and at The End on Saturday 6/18 for this year's Northside Festival. I'll be playing with some other really great bands, come out and support!

I've finally put together some rough mixes of several Walrus Ghost songs for listening ears. It's been a while; but since I'm back actively playing shows, I wanted to give something to everybody to listen to home, work, or what have you. The myspace situation seems a little irrelevant these days so I've decided to put the new songs up on my Bandcamp, Sound Cloud, and Walrus Ghost Facebook.
